ITEC Center Construction Update

Rerouting the entry drive into the ITEC Center necessitates uprooting all the Washingtonia palms along the old front entry drive. Most of the asphalt has been removed from the old drive and now the palms are being carefully removed and transferred to a nursery, where they will be nurtured until replanting once the site work is complete.

Removing the Washingtonias is a tall order requiring a lot of manpower aided by machinery. Both of these shots are looking out toward Mexico Boulevard.

This shot captures the vastness of the square footage under renovation at ITEC Center. Here, men are working on a wall of one of the new lecture halls. Note the air duct already installed.

Sparks fly as a worker cuts a steel beam. The wooden wall in the background is the temporary wall at the end of the tenant wing where the Mexican Consulate, the International Innovation Center and numerous businesses are located.
