The Criminal Justice Institute is a state-approved provider for Armed Security Officer Certification training. Students successfully completing this course of instruction become eligible for Commissioning by the Texas Commission on Private Security. This course includes classroom and firing range instruction.

Requirements: This course of
instruction prepares the student with knowledge, skill, and
flexibility of serving as a Commissioned Security Officer.
Prospective students must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have no Class A or Class B felony convictions within the
past 5 years. It is a 40 hour course that allows the
student to serve their community as a member of the criminal
justice profession.
