Mr. David Oliveira has been serving as a member of the Texas Southmost College Board of Trustees since 1994.
He has held the positions of Chair and Vice Chair. He was elected Chair of the
Board once more in 2008. A Brownsville native, Mr. Oliveira attended Texas Southmost
College and then went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts at UT-Austin. After attaining his Juris Doctorate
from Texas Tech University, he worked as a prosecutor in the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office. His
father, the late Dr. Arnulfo L. Oliveira, was President of Texas Southmost College and Pan American University
at Brownsville from 1971-1977. He is a partner in the Brownsville law firm of Roerig, Oliveira & Fisher.
