BIO for Jacque Schrader
Jacqueline Schrader currently teaches music and movement to children in pre-school through age 13 at the Key School in Annapolis, MD. Additionally, she is the Pre-School and Lower School Orff Schulwerk Coordinator. Her 5th grade children were featured at the AOSA Conference in Philadelphia.For the last 20 summers she has been helping to train Orff Schulwerk teachers from around the world. She is currently the movement teacher at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul Minnesota, where she received three levels of Orff training as well as a master class. She also teaches Level II Ensemble at George Mason University in Virginia and at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
In l983, she was given the NJMEA Master Teacher Award. She was the youngest recipient in the history of the award. In l984 she was given the NJ Governor’s Award for Excellence in Arts Education. She served on the AOSA Board of Trustees from1995-2000.
A highly sought after, internationally known clinician, Jacque spent the spring semester of l999 studying on a scholarship at the Orff Institute, Salzburg. Jacque has presented workshops at 12 AOSA Conferences and at AOSA chapters in 28 states. She has taught in Taiwan, and in the summer of 2001 she was sponsored by the Carl Orff Foundation and AOSA to teach at the first international Orff course in Nitra, Slovakia. Since then, she taught at the international courses in Krackow, Poland, Strobl, Austria and Bejiing China.
