ABOUT US
HISTORY:
The STEMS Program was established in 1999
through a grant from NASA. As proposed to
NASA, UTB/TSC and local school districts
institutionalized the program in 1997.
Currently, funds from UTB/TSC, the
participating schools and other
organizations are utilized to provide higher
education, career awareness and other
educational opportunities for K-16 students.
MISSION:
The South Texas Engineering, Math and
Science (STEMS) is established to serve as a
university outreach program which works on
promoting higher education to youth in K-16
and communities in South Texas.
