
Eligibility Criteria
Veterans are eligible to participate in the Veterans Upward Bound Program under any combination of the following circumstances:
Veterans who served on active duty as a member of the Armed Forces of
the United States, any part of which occurred after January 31, 19 55, and:
You served for more than 180 days
You are a veteran discharged or released from active duty under conditions
other than dishonorable
You were discharged or released from active duty because of a
service-connected disability
First-generation college students, individuals neither of whose natural
or adoptive parents received a baccalaureate degree.
Economically disadvantaged.
| Veterans do not have to meet both the first generation and economically disadvantage criteria to enroll in our program; Two thirds of out veterans enrolled must meet both criteria, but one third can meet one or the other. |
To enroll in VUB, submit a copy of your DD214 (member-4 page), a copy of your most recent income tax return, and completed VB Application.
