The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College has been funded with a federal 4-year grant of $888,000 to help prepare Rio Grande Valley veterans to pursue a program of higher education.

 

The VUB program will be held during the Fall, Spring and Summer sessions of the following academic school years 2003 - 2004, 2004- 2005, 2005 - 2006, and 2006 - 2007. With your support this program will continue beyond our presently approved four-year grant.

 

The Program Will:
  Provide intensive basic skills development in those academic subjects
     required for a successful completion of a high school equivalency program
     and for admission to postsecondary programs;
  Assist veterans in securing support services from other local resources
    such as the Veterans Administration, State veterans services, veterans
    association, and other state and local agencies that serve veterans.

 

Everything this program offers is FREE as long as you are enrolled in our Veterans Upward Bound Program.
