Student Development Specialist, Mina Hernandez has worked at UTB/TSC for five years.  She currently works with students at Porter, Pace, and Lopez high schools as well as alternative education programs: Youth Build, and Eagle Charter Academy.  Mina has dedicated twenty-two years to education including five years as an Instructional Services Specialist with GEAR UP.  One of her goals through the Talent Search Program is to help students learn more about post secondary education by conducting numerous classroom presentations at their campuses.

Mina was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas.  She attended The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College and graduated in 1996 with a major in History and a minor in Reading.  She recently enrolled in the Master’s Program for Guidance and Counseling at UTB/TSC.
