As an Academic Advisor, Anibal Villarreal visits and works closely with the students at Besteiro, Cummings, Faulk, Garcia, Lucio, and Perkins middle schools.  His tremendous creativity, and easy-going personality allow him to implement the program’s curriculum in a fun and memorable fashion. 

As a first-generation and low-income student himself, Anibal is well aware of the many obstacles and challenges that students face before and after enrolling in a university program.  His goal is to inspire every one of his students to achieve the dream of a rewarding future.  He hopes to impact each student with his own personal experiences and convince them that no obstacle is “too big” to overcome.

Anibal was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas.  He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in May 2005.  He majored in Marketing, and earned a minor in Spanish.  He is currently pursuing a Master of Education Degree with an emphasis in Educational Technology.
