Message from the Student Life Director
Welcome Scorpions, to the Office of Student Life. I hope that the curiosity that has brought you to our web page will also cause you to search out the many programs and services that are available to students on our campus. I invite you to invest some time in exploring the many and diverse web pages that campus departments have created to inform you of the services and opportunities that are available at UTB/TSC. Take an active role in creating your future by becoming a well-informed, active learner.
The Office of Student Life is about you the student. As you review our web page, click on the links to view the diverse co-curricular programs, and services that were created with the goal of enriching your college experience. We offer diverse programs that will seek to provide you with social, cultural, and intellectual learning opportunities.
However it is you who holds the key to the success of our programs. It is your participation, your engagement in the learning process that brings a sense of purpose to what we do. Without you, the human element, our buildings would be empty shells, - without you the, student element, the voices of our faculty and invited speakers/ performers would echo down empty lecture rooms and halls, and without you to laugh, to question, to feel the words of the actor, to share the experience with your fellow students, our efforts would be without meaning. It is you, who by choosing to engage in campus life, adds your uniqueness and thereby enriching the experience for all of us.
It is the spirit and energy, that you bring to our campus which energizes and challenges us the staff at Student Life to provide you the best possible services and programs. We invite you to become an active participant in campus life activities. Come by our offices at the Student Union 2.28 and let us know what you think about our programs or to volunteer to help out in our programs. I look forward to meeting you. Have a fantastic year.
Sincerely,
David Mariscal, Director
