JOB DESCRIPTION
The Department of Recreational Sports and Scorpion Body Shop is a new member of the UTB-TSC family where we provide a culmination of education, physical fitness, sporting activity, and the experience of joining a pipeline of competition and fun. Our mission is to attract students, faculty, and staff by offering a well equipped fitness facility with fitness programs, many organized sporting leagues and tournaments, and job opportunity.
For those seeking employment it essential that you enjoy working with fellow staff members and are an active individual where our staff must adapt to a physical work environment.
Some of the daily chores for our staff at the Scorpion Body Shop Fitness Center are vacuuming, cleaning mirrors and glass, wiping down equipment, sanitizing equipment, cleaning restroom toilets & sinks, filing member files, monitoring members dress code, monitoring equipment for proper usage, and be somewhat knowledgeable of major muscle groups and multiple exercises. Those interested must have a flexible schedule as you may be scheduled to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends periodically.
For our Sports Officials, we do recommend for them to enjoy the outdoors. Most of the activity takes place on playing fields and occasionally on courts. Individuals must be willing to learn multiple sports rules, guidelines, and procedures to supervise games. Book keeping and record filing will also be required. Advertising and marketing by handing our flyers, hanging up posters, and group presentations is also asked. Field preparation, cleaning and maintenance of equipment is expected.
