Assessments and Research

Purpose

The purpose of the Leadership and Mentorship Program assessments and research is to improve education and society by enhancing knowledge regarding student development and first year experiences.  Our surveys serve as tools that inform us about the needs and behaviors of our students.  Specific attention is paid to the influence of environmental factors ( e.g., educational interventions, peer relationships, diverse interactions, student services, and co-curricular involvement, academic performance) on student development.  Results contribute to a fuller understanding of college students developmental needs, knowledge on how to improve programs and services, and a foundation from which to build future research.
