At UTB/TSC, students with disabilities take an active part in campus life. Many do not need any special assistance. But for those who do, Disability Services is here to help. Our Counselor/Coordinator works with each student individually to arrange for accommodations, technology training, or other needs. To help meet students' special needs, we coordinate with other campus support services as well as with state agencies such as the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services.
Mission Statement – Disability Services
The mission of the Disability Services Office is to ensure that students with disabilities have equal access to all university programs and activities and to help foster a supportive and inclusive educational environment by promoting disability awareness.
Goals – Disability Services
The goals of the Disability Services Office are to:
- Coordinate academic accommodations and support services,
- Provide information and referral to appropriate resources,
- Promote disability awareness among all members of the university community.
