Mission
The Counseling Center provides individual, couple and group counseling, educational programs, and other psychological services to students and consultation and training to staff and faculty of the University community in order to facilitate the retention, adjustment, and development of UTB/TSC students.
Goals:

To enhance student retention, academic performance, and satisfaction by providing professional counseling services to students with a variety of personal/psychological needs.

To assist students with common interests and concerns through structured
psycho-educational groups, programs, and outreach activities.

To provide crisis intervention to promote the health and safety of UTB/TSC
students and to facilitate appropriate services.

To provide a broad range of testing and assessment services to address
personal and educational services.

To provide consultation to students, staff and faculty as deemed appropriate.

To promote diversity in the university community by addressing the
developmental needs of special population groups.

To promote the professionalism and morale of the Counseling Center staff by
providing on-going staff development.
