Scorpion Ambassadors
Welcome to Scorpion Ambassadors

Dear UTB/TSC Ambassador Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the UTB/TSC Scorpion Ambassador Program. This elite group of students, considered the “Best and Brightest” of UTB/TSC, provides more than just recognition of one’s accomplishments. Serving in this capacity is one of the highest honors available to currently enrolled students, and while the success of a university student is typically measured by GPA, for an Ambassador this is only the beginning.

Beyond showcasing the academically elite, Ambassadors have proven their leadership through involvement in student organizations, campus and community activities, personal reliability, and contributions to the community. Scorpion Ambassadors portray the image that UTB/TSC strives to achieve and exemplifies the best that UTB/TSC has to offer. Advantages of being an ambassador include invitations to various events, and networking opportunities with the community and business leaders. Ambassadors also represent their alma mater at various university functions for local dignitaries, state officials, prominent community leaders, alumni and the general public.

Students interested in applying for an Ambassador position must hold a freshman status or higher and should currently be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75. All Scorpion Ambassadors must provide a minimum of 10 hours service per semester with flexibility in schedule as needed. Ambassadors will serve a one-year term and may apply for additional terms.

To be considered for the Scorpion Ambassador Program you must first submit the following packet of information. Only students who complete all application materials and meet the minimum requirements will qualify for an interview. Please note, it is your responsibility to ensure that all application documents are delivered to the Student Union Office (STU 1.16).

We look forward to your application. Should you have any additional questions please visit our office at Student Union 1.16 or contact us at (956) 882-5033.

Sincerely,

Patricia M. Longoria
