This website was created to provide you with on-line information about the people, programs, and services which support the academic, personal, and professional development of all University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College students.

Student Development is an integral part of the Scorpion family. As an office within the Division of Student Affairs, we exist to support the mission and vision of excellence established by the university. The Division of Student Affairs seeks to facilitate the integration of the academic experience of students with all aspects of university and student life. The office of the AVPSD facilitates interactions among students, faculty, and staff to promote a campus climate which supports students' academic success and their personal and professional development.

As the Assistant Vice President for Student Development, I am committed to the holistic development of our students through delivery of innovative programs and services which are responsive to the needs of students and foster community-building.
