The University Scorpion Scholars Program has notified all applicants regarding their status in the program. Applicants will be notified by e-mail and mail. Students wishing to accept the award must download and turn the following Information Release and Acceptance Form.

Please keep in mind that you must have graduated in the top 10% of your class based on your seven semester high school transcript.  Our office will be contacting your high school to verify your top 10% graduation status. If you have not done so already, you must also apply to UTB/TSC through the admissions office as soon as possible so we can begin awarding your scholarship funds to the appropriate student account.  Visit the admissions office for details (http://blue.utb.edu/admissions/ ).  Further information will be sent out via e-mail to the corresponding address.

Our program will also be offering an information session over the requirements and awards of this scholarship on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 on campus at the Set B Lecture Hall.   This will be an opportunity for you to turn your acceptance form in to us in person and ask any questions regarding our award.   We will offer two sessions that day, one at 4:00pm to 5:00 pm and another at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. 

If you do accept this scholarship you must attend a mandatory university orientation.  The date will be announced soon and we expect it to be during the summer.  You must also register for a customized Learning Community, which is a set of linked courses reserved for University Scorpion Scholars.  These courses include Speech and Comp II.   If you have already received credit for one or both of these courses, you do not have to register for them.   Once you accept this scholarship, we will begin registering you for these courses.
