 We offer many types of music classes for students age 2 through adults.  Tour our program & see the different classes you can join!

  
 
Private Lessons Series
 
The UTB/TSC Music Academy offers a variety of instrumental and vocal lessons for a period of 14 weeks through the Fall and Spring semesters and 7 weeks for the summer session. This program is designed to teach students basic music concepts through a chosen instrument. Students will strengthen music-reading skills and learn techniques for that particular instrument on an individual time with an instructor. Information on renting or purchasing instruments can be found through the Music Academy Office. It is recommended that students have their own instrument (rented or owned) to practice and bring to lessons. Maintenance of the instruments can be discussed with the instructor.  Students will receive individual lessons on a weekly basis on a chosen instrument. Students may choose 30 or 60 minutes lesson periods. The instructor will arrange lesson times with the students at UTB/TSC Eidman Hall. Call the Office for prices and fees. Currently, we offer lessons in piano, violin, cello, guitar, drums, flute, saxophone, clarinet, and voice (subject to change).

FALL & SPRING SEMESTER

 14 weeks - once a week for 30 minutes or 60 minutes
7 weeks - once a week for 30 minutes or 60 minutes

SUMMER SESSION

 8 weeks - once a week for 30 minutes or 60 minutes
4 weeks - once a week for 30 minutes or 60 minutes

Vocal Performance Practice - Are you preparing for a vocal competition or performance? This class, taught by Master Instructor and University Professor Amy Brownlow, is designed to teach voice students the art of dramatic interpretation in songs and how to choreograph songs. There will be 2 sections available: the Beginner's Level and the Advanced Level. The Beginner's Level will look at basic elements of interpretation in songs and helps students develop their singing style. The Advanced Level is geared for students with choral and solo experience and singers who have competed in the high school to college levels. These students will work with various languages and work at an artistic level. If you are preparing or thinking about entering competitions, you will not want to miss this class.  Click here for specific days & time.
Adult Private Lessons Series - Adults students of all ages can take private lessons in many different instruments.  The time frame will be the same as listed above.  For specific scheduling, please call the Academy office.
