The Music Academy at the University of Texas at Brownsville/Texas Southmost College (UTB/TSC) is an education service, sponsored by the UTB Fine Arts Department. We offer students the opportunity to learn and enjoy music within a professional community.  Founded in October 2001, the UTB Music Academy offers private lessons, group music instruction and performance ensembles for students from age 2 to adults.

MISSION:  The Music Academy provides a service to the local community through musical instruction and performance in order to enhance the quality of life through music participation and enrichment.  It offers high quality private and group classes that promote competent musicianship.  The Music Academy supports the university's mission of public service and life-long learning.
