Professional experience in the U. S.:

Within The University of Texas at Brownsville has performed as research analyst at the Cross-Border Institute for Regional Development from 1999 to 2005. Adjunct professor at the Modern Languages Department from 2002 to 2003 teaching English/Spanish translation, Commercial Translation, and Spanish/English transalation, introduced web-based materials for class sessions in a multimedia laboratory. From1998 to 1999 acted as coordinator for the Career Opportunities Retraining Program. On the private side, owner/partner Industrial Electric Motors, Brownsville, Texas from1992 to1998.

Professional experience in México:

Executive director, Foundation for Agricultural Research and Sanitary Programs, Matamoros, Mexico (1993-1997). Development and Sales Representative, Deltapine Seeds Company de Mexico (1990-1993). National level under director, National Seeds Certification Service, México City (1989 - 1990), Chief Executive Officer, National Seeds Certification Service, Matamoros, Mexico (1985 - 1989), Informatics coordinator, Mexico’s Department of Agricultural and Hydraulic Resources, Matamoros, Mexico (1982 - 1985), State level under director, Mexico’s Department of Agricultural and Hydraulic Resources, Cd. Victoria, Mexico, (1981 - 1981). Other positions held from 1978 to 1981, included agricultural investment loans evaluator, Banco Rural in Torreón, México, and informatics and planning officer, Irrigation District #25 in Northeast, México. While in those capacities, traveled extensively across México and attended some international conferences, workshops, and seminars in South America.
