Bio
A valley girl, born in Edinburg, moved to Brownsville at six months of age, spent formative years growing up in Puerto Rico. She attended Texas Southmost College her freshman and sophomore years and graduated from the University of North Texas, receiving both the Bachelors and the Masters degrees in Spanish from that university. She has taught at UTB/TSC since 1984, first in the ESL and Spanish programs, now only in the Spanish program. Spare time is dedicated to family pursuits (one daughter and two granddaughters) and traveling, most often with my colleagues and students. Enjoys reading and gardening.
