Gorgas Hall

The Gorgas Board Room is
an official Texas historical marker. It served as the hospital for old
Fort Brown during the early years of Brownsville.
Today, its main use is to hold meeting for the Texas Southmost College
Board of Trustees.
The seating capacity for this room is 60

The video display and
recording equipment is controlled via remote control using a touch
control panel. Various screen menus display colored icons thru a user
friendly program. The system includes:
* LCD screen, 6", color, Creston
* Remote system switcher, Creston
* Rack kit, Creston
* (4) Camera Man, Parkerson, wall mounted
The meetings can be recorded on video cassette or they can be recorded
on audio only if prefered.
Arrangements for this room must be made thru the SUJCD (Texas Southmost
College) office. Media arrangements must be made with enough prior
notice.

A total of 4 cameras are
installed on to the walls to capture every angle during meeting sessions
or presentations.
Each camera is individually controlled by a Creston control unit. A
touch control panel displays icons with preset setting which can be
easily manipulated by the Media video technician.
