The mission of the Media Services is to
assist The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College
academic, administration and staff by serving
as a resource for technical and creative expertise in the field of audio-visual
technology, by providing production services in the areas of satellite
teleconferences, videotaping services, audio reproduction and
photography. Our services are extended to furnish instructional audio-visual
equipment and instructional videos. In addition, we service our own media
equipment by repairing and maintaining our in-house media equipment. Our
structure is to fulfill an academic environment in providing a blend of
instructional support within the university.
In the media services you will find various departments, such as instructional
equipment area, preview rooms, instructional workroom, photography lab,
maintenance & repair room, sound proof recording room, video production
room, & video/photography studio.
To place a media request visit the Media Services web page at blue.utb.edu/media, then select request,
or visit us at our office location in Cardenas South Hall 125 during our regular working
hours.

or send us a fax, please contact your department's secretary to place your
request for you.
Note: All media requests must be made 24 hrs. in advance (6:30 pm) to ensure proper
equipment availability at time and date requested. Weekend or late evening
projects must have special arrangements made in advance at least 1 to 2 weeks to
ensure staff availability to work (some restrictions apply.)
