Network Usage Guidelines
The University's computing resources are regulated under the Property Laws of the State of Texas and are subject to the Texas Computer Crimes Statutes, V.I.C.A., Penal code Section 33.01, et seq. and the property policies of The University of Texas at Brownsville. I have read the Policy For the Use and Protection of Information Resources
and understand that I must comply with the Policy when accessing and using information resources and my failure to comply with the Policy may result in cancellation of my privilege of use, appropriate disciplinary action, and action by law enforcement authorities. Usage of computing resources may be chargeable either to a University budgetary account or to the individual using the resources. Use of computing resources charged to the budgetary accounts must be for Official University business only and is permitted only by authority of the budgetary account manager. All other uses of computing resources require prior approval, and renders the individual personally liable for charges at the prevailing rates.
