Talented guitarists from UTB/TSC, Brownsville Independent School District, and UT Pan American will perform in the tenth annual “La Noche de La Guitarra” concert under the direction of Dr. Michael Quantz.
The concert, benefiting Valley guitar students, will take place on Thursday, November 15 at 8 p.m. in the Lecture Hall of the Science, Engineering and Technology Building (SET-B) on the UTB/TSC campus.
The public is invited to come out and enjoy an evening of entertaining guitar music including lively rhythm and traditional melodies, plus the romantic sound of the classical guitar. Performances will feature solo and ensemble acoustic guitar selections. Proceeds for this concert support scholarships, travel to music competition, and also the purchase of basic equipment and supplies for several guitar programs in they Valley.
Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the door. A reception will follow the concert. For information, call 882-8247.
