Dr. Tom Nevill
holds a D.M.A. and M.M. in Percussion Performance from
the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as well as a
Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Eastern
Illinois University. His performance credits include The Albany Symphony
Orchestra, The Sioux City Symphony, The Las Vegas
Philharmonic, Nevada Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Las Vegas
Orchestra. He has
presented percussion clinics and master classes in
Texas, Georgia, South Dakota, Iowa, Nevada, and Puebla
and Chiapas, Mexico. Dr. Nevill is presently
a member of the Vic Firth College Educator Program and
serves on the College Pedagogy Committee as an active
member of the Percussive Arts Society. He is an
endorser of SABIAN cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks and
Mallets, and Evans Drumheads. Dr. Nevill is an
Assistant Professor of Music where he teaches Applied
Percussion, Percussion Methods, directs The Rio Bravo Percussion Ensemble
and the Marimbalacran.
