Release of Spring 2008 Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office (FAO) will begin processing financial aid funds, for the Spring 2008 semester, on January 4, 2008. FAO will continue to process financial aid every business day throughout the semester. Outstanding university debt is paid first. Remaining funds, if any, are then released to the student. If you have an enhanced Sting Card, the Business Office will initiate an ACH transaction to deposit the remaining funds directly into your bank account. Otherwise, a paper check will be printed, processed and sent via regular mail. While the majority of students receive their financial aid prior to the start of classes, some students will not receive their aid until they have completed all outstanding requirements. Students are notified by e-mail or letter to submit and/or complete items such as verification documents and loan counseling. The UTB/TSC on-line status system, Scorpion Online, lists any outstanding requirements and summarizes financial aid offers and amounts approved for release. Check your account status regularly!
