Welcome to the Criminal Justice program at the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College.  We are pleased that you are visiting our website.  If you have questions that are not answered by the information that we have made available on our website please contact us via email at cjinformationrequest@utb.edu or stop by our office on campus.  Our offices are located in Mary Rose Cardenas South Hall on the third floor.  The main office is located in room 319. 

Criminal Justice is one of the fastest growing academic degree programs in the United States.  Our Criminal Justice graduates are prepared for exciting careers in various aspects of the justice system.  Our department offers courses leading to the Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice and the Bachelor of Science degree in either Correctional Administration or Police Administration.  The department also offers graduate courses that lead to the Master of Interdisciplinary Studies degree and the Master of Public Policy and Management degree.

The department also will begin offering a degree program and a Certificate program in Forensic Investigation beginning in the Fall Semester of 2008.

The department is comprised of full-time and adjunct faculty that have have a wealth of scholarly and practical expertise.  The faculty is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of students looking to obtain a practitioner-oriented career in criminal justice and of students with aspirations toward advanced degrees.
