Student Soapbox | Should Distance Education students pay the same fees as regular students?

“No, porque no están usando las instalaciones de [la misma] manera que nosotros: las computadoras [y] los servicios médicos. … No sería justo para ellos”.

Gregorio Tella

Estudiante de segundo año en ingeniería física

“Yes, because either way they are going to attend to school, even though it’s through the Internet. I feel they should pay their way too. It’s more money for the school and it’s more things that we can get out of it.”

David Aguilar

Sophomore education major

“No, I don’t think they should pay the same amount that we do because they don’t have the same benefits that we do, such as using the computers and other services here on campus.”

Claudia Santillan

Junior nursing major

“No, because they don’t use the [facilities] that we use. They don’t use the computers, the Scorpion Body Shop and all that other stuff. So, it shouldn’t be the same tuition as us.”

Stephanie Ruiz

Junior education major
