FRIDAY, APRIL 20 2008 - Students from the Communication department met with local professionals who work in the communication field Friday, April 18 during the 3rd annual Job Shadow day hosted by UTB-TSC.

The event kicked off at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast, that gave students a chance to meet the person they would shadow for the day. Communication professor Lou Falk gave a speech during the breakfast followed by a presentation from department coordinator, professor Cook, which highlighted some of the program's goals and achievements.
“During this day, some 40 students will shadow individuals in the communication field to determine if this is the career they seek,” Falk said.
Businesses participating included The Brownsville Herald, KGBT-TV Channel 4, KBSD-TV, the UTB/TSC Office of News and Information, Breeden and McCumber and Millar/Hollander.
