"The Craft of Writing: Creative, Philosophical, Scholarly, and ESL."

Dr. Noor Islam is an Associate Professor of English at UTB/TSC. He has published over 50 essays and stories in various literary and linguistics journals in North America and Europe. His novel titled Snake Dance in Berlin is due this spring. For contributing "significantly to the betterment of contemporary society," he has been honored in Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World. He has also been honored in Who's Who Among America's Teachers as one of the best teachers in the country.

In our series of conversation with authors, he will discuss the craft of writing, which will include scholarly, philosophical, and creative writing. He will also explore ESL writing, with special emphasis on the writing of our students in the Valley. Following his presentation, there will be a question and answer session.
