UTB-TSC Communication Council students hosted the 4th Annual Communication Expo at the Grand Salon Wednesday.
Students from local high schools were invited to learn about the benefits of obtaining a communication degree. The event featured local professional who work in the communication field. Speakers from The Brownsville Herald, KGBT News and EXA Radio shared their experiences in their respective fields.

Various booths were setup along the Grand Salon, which included The Collegian, Academic Advising and Skill USA.
The Skills USA booth gave students the opportunity to experience live new anchoring. The booth was equipped with a camera, microphones and a monitor. The students were recorded as the read from a script and after, were able to see their recorded tape to see how they did.
The Expo ran from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. and featured live music from local musicians, pizza and prizes were also handed out.
To close the event, students were given a chance to hear success stories from UTB-TSC alumni who graduated with a communication degree.
