TUESDAY SEPT 25, 2007 - A new endowment that will provide a scholarship to communication students is now available. Dr. Louis Falk, Associate Professor of Communication negotiated with local advertising agency, Breeden and McCumber in what resulted in the first endowment the Communication program has received.
Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for the scholarships based on their demonstrated talent in the study of Communication. Competitive undergraduates will be majors in Communication, with 60 academic hours completed by the time of the award and a minimum GPA of 3.0 within the major and overall. Scholarships are for at least $350, pending availability of annual funding, applicable to tuition only. Students must be enrolled full time in the semester of the award.
A complete application includes a completed and signed application form, an unofficial transcript, and a written statement (no more than 1 page) demonstrating need as well as your academic/professional goals.
Students may pick up an application on-line by going to the Scholarship section of the College of Liberal Arts web site. Applications may also be picked up at Dr. Falk’s office in South 276.
