Dr. Michael Quantz holds a D.M.A., M.M., and a B.M. from the University of North Texas. He has performed solo and chamber concerts across the United States, Canada and Mexico. In addition, he gives lecture-recitals, initially as a select member of the Guitar-in-the-Community program sponsored by the Dallas Classic Guitar Society.
He holds guitar education clinics for Texas school districts and is the originator/director of the only guitar ensemble festival in the US. He has been a respected and sought-after classical guitar educator for over 20 years.
Dr. Quantz teaches applied guitar, guitar ensemble, and music appreciation. He has developed the guitar program into one of the largest and most vigorous university programs in Texas.
