Dr. Tom Nevill holds a D.M.A. and M.M. in Percussion Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Eastern Illinois University.
His performance credits include The Valley Symphony Orchestra, The Albany Symphony Orchestra, The Sioux City Symphony, The Las Vegas Philharmonic, Nevada Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Las Vegas Orchestra and The Las Vegas Lounge Show. He has presented percussion clinics and master classes in Texas, Georgia, South Dakota, Iowa, Nevada, and at the South Dakota Day of Percussion.
Dr. Nevill is presently a member of the Vic Firth College Educator Program and serves on the College Pedagogy Committee as an active member of the Percussive Arts Society. He is an endorser of SABIAN cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks and Mallets, and Evans Drumheads.
He is an Assistant Professor of Music and the Director of Percussion Studies at UTB/TSC where he teaches Applied Percussion, Percussion Methods and directs The Rio Bravo Percussion Ensemble.
