Dr. Elena Vega-Sampayo, Assistant Professor of Spanish, holds a Ph.D. in Spanish Literature by the University of León, Spain. A native of, Spain, she had previously earned her BA and MA in Spanish Literature in the University of Barcelona. She has worked for major publishing houses in Spain as editor and project manager. Her research and publishing focus on contemporary Spanish poetry. She is the author of "La poesía esencial de José Corredor-Matheos" (2008).
