Joe Colunga is an associate master technical instructor in the English Department at University of Texas at Brownsville. A faculty member since 1978, Colunga has a Master of Arts degree in English from UT-Pan American and an MA in journalism from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He teaches Composition and College Writing Skills courses. He also serves the community as a member of the Brownsville Independent School District Board of Trustees and has been a board member since 1995.
