Student Employment Initiative Employee MOE's and MOE Renewals are first due to Career Services.  Career Services will then forward the MOE's to Budgeting for approval.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM HUMAN RESOURCES REGARDING NEW & REHIRED STAFF 

In order for our department to better serve you, we would like to remind you of the following:

 

    
REHIRES
- The end of the year is around the corner and the time has come to renew MOEs for our temporary Full-time/Part-time employees. Supervisors process new MOEs and send them to the Budget Office for approval.  

Please make sure that you comply with the break in service rules as follows:  

  • If the assignment is to work 19 hours or less, a break in service is not required.
  • If the assignment is to work 20 hours or more, a break in service of a minimum of one day is required.   

     

   NEW HIRES (first time employed with UTB)

  • Supervisor and employee complete Criminal Background Check (CBC) Form and send it to Human Resources. CBC is required every two years for rehired temporary employees.

  • Supervisor sends employee to Human Resources (Cortez 129) to complete all documentation required before starting employment. The new employees will be required to provide two forms of identification.

Criminal Background Checks are required BEFORE an individual is hired (new hire), transferred, promoted or reclassified (current employee) into a new position.  No offer of employment should be made until the results of the background check are completed and reviewed by the hiring official.
