  • The group fitness schedule can be obtained from the bins located in the Fitness Center or you may view/print an online version at www.campusrecreation.utb.edu.

Do you offer personal training? Can I bring my own personal trainer?

  • Not yet; staff members are very knowledgeable in this area and can offer great tips.  In accordance with State of Texas statues, you cannot bring your own personal trainer to the UTB facility.

What if I forgot my student/faculty/staff ID?  May I still enter the facility?

  • All members are required to show their UTB/TSC student or faculty/staff ID to access the facility.  The Fitness Center allows a three-time exception during each semester to accommodate members who have misplaced the proper ID.  Showing proper identification to access the facility is our way to insure that the integrity of your membership is maintained an allow us to manage the university’s risk exposure.  Students or faculty/staff that have lost their UTB/TSC ID must get a replacement ID at the library for $10.

Will the cost for membership be more that what we are paying now?

  • When the new facility opens, we will have new membership rates.  We will also be offering you our members an improved facility with new features, including all new fitness equipment, a pool, racquetball courts, triple the amount of fitness equipment, locker rooms and an indoor track.  We can promise you that you will realize a positive return on your membership investment.  Remember your health is priceless.

If currently a member, will my membership be the same at time of renewal or will I be paying the new cost?

  • Our new rates will be in effect when we move to the new facility.  A date to discontinue selling memberships at the old rates will be determined in the summer of 2008.
  • We are excited to have existing members stay with us and will be providing options for limited “Charter Membership” to our loyal members who have been with us and plan to celebrate with us in the new location!
