Grammar Help


Your School of Business professors expect a high quality of writing and expect that the writing will be grammatically correct. Your professor may deduct points for the following grammatical errors:

  1. Misspelled/misused words and typos
  2. Punctuation errors such as commas, semi-colons, and periods
  3. Sentence fragments/run-on sentences
  4. Incorrect agreement (subject/verb, singular/plural, noun/pronoun)
  5. Parallelism errors (inconsistent wording when listing items)
  6. Awkward wording/sentences; poor word choices; redundant wording; missing word(s)
  7. Poor use of transitional words and sentences
  8. Poor paragraph construction; ideas not centered around a topic sentence
