 Scorpions End Regular Season with 10-0 Rout over SAGU

Lena Candia and Lauren Owens scored three goals each to lead the UTB/TSC Scorpions to an easy 10-0 rout over Southwestern Assemblies of God University at Morningside Park Saturday, October 20, in the final regular season game for both teams.

Candia, who scored four goals in a 8-0 win over Texas College the previous day, scored twice in the first half when the Scorpions built a 5-0 lead, and then again in the second half.

The Scorpions finished the regular season with an impressive 10-6 record, and 5-2 record in the Red River Athletic Conference, where they clinched third place.

SAGU finished its season 1-16-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the RRAC.

Mayra Solis, Brittany Moseley and Lorinda Gomez added the other goals for the Scorpions.
