Scorpions Come from Behind for 2-1 Victory over Texas Lutheran

SEGUIN -- Marco Malovic and Enrique Rivera scored second half goals to lead the UTB/TSC Scorpion men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Texas Lutheran University at Gustafson Field Tuesday, September 18.

The Scorpions trailed 1-0 after the first seven minutes of the game, a score that would stand up at halftime.

Malovic scored on a 35-yard direct free kick in the 56th minute to tie the game at 1-1. In the 81st minute, Rivera scored with an assist by Filiberto Cortinas.

Goalkeeper Bojan Maric had six saves for the Scorpions. Both teams had eight shots in the game.

UTB/TSC is now 4-2-1 after starting the season with seven road games. The Scorpions hold a 1-0 conference record, and begin their home season at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 20, against Huston-Tillotson University. The Scorpions are also home Saturday, September 22, against College of the Southwest.

After starting the season with seven straight road games, the Scorpions play six of their last 10 games at home.
