Scorpions Visit Texas Lutheran To End Long Road Streak

SEGUIN -- The defense-minded UTB/TSC Scorpion men's soccer team ends its string of road games when they visit Texas Lutheran University at 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, at Gustafson Field.

The Scorpions are 3-2-1 on the season, with the only two losses coming by scores of 2-1 and 1-0. They have allowed only four goals in their last five games. Their record ranks third best among Red River Athletic Conference teams.

Texas Lutheran is 1-3.

The Scorpions defeated RRAC rival Huston-Tillotson University, 5-0, on Saturday, September 15, in a non-conference game. Brian Hardie scored twice to lead the Scorpions.

Holding a 1-0 conference record, the Scorpions begin their home season at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 20, against the same Huston-Tillotson team at Morningside Park in a RRAC contest.

After starting the season with seven straight road games, the Scorpions play six of their last 10 games at home.
