Rodriguez Expected To Sign Soccer Letter of Intent

Ricki Rodriguez, a senior at San Benito High School, is expected to sign a letter of intent to play for the UTB/TSC Scorpions men's soccer team at a ceremony at SBHS at 12 noon TODAY, Thursday, April 5.

Rodriguez would be the first current high school player and fifth player overall to sign with the Scorpions. Current UTB/TSC students Jorge Briones, Filiberto Cortinas and Rogelio Perez, all graduates of Porter High School; and Edgar Gracia, a graduate of Lopez High School, signed letters of intent in March.

The men’s soccer team begins play August 23, 2007 against the Instituto Tecnologico Superiores de Poza Rica Petroleros.
