dropped to tenth place at the UST Texas Intercollegiate

UTB/TSC finished with a 36-hole total of 629, 49 shots behind tournament champion Oklahoma City University, which had a 580. The Scorpion fivesome shot a second-round total of 321 to go with a first-round total of 308. OCU is the third-ranked NAIA men's golf team in the country.
High winds plagued the golfers throughout the course, as four of the five Scorpion golfers had higher scores on the second day. Only O.J. Moreno, who finished with a 163, had a better second-day score than the opening round. Moreno had a 77 Monday to go with a first-round score of 86.
Sophomore Chris Milligan led the Scorpions with a 155 (75-80), Jones Mitchell had a 158 (77-81), Victor Calzada 162 (75-87), and Anthony Lopez 164 (81-83). For Calzada, the first-round score of 75 was his career best as a Scorpion.
The Scorpions next compete in the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison Classic April 7-8 in Oklahoma City and follow that with a trip to the Red River Athletic Conference and NAIA Region VI Championship April 21-22 in Lubbock.
