Navy Takes Opening Game in Scorpion Fall Classic
Posted October 30, 2007
Julian Moya led the way for Navy as he pitched seven solid innings before giving way to Evan Hardman who picked up a save in the 4-2 victory Monday, October 29, at Scorpion Field in the first game of the Scorpion World Series.

Navy now leads the best-of-seven series, 1-0.

Several times in the game Moya found himself with runners in scoring position but managed to work out of it, allowing just one unearned run.

Orange pitcher James Wooster was also very solid, allowing only one earned and picking up six strikeouts along the way.

Navy’s run production started at the top of their lineup with freshman Jorge Camorlinga, who went 3-for-4, scoring one run and drive in another. Moya helped himself at the plate as well, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
