Scorpion World Series Begins Monday, October 29

The UTB/TSC baseball team begins its traditional Scorpion World Series, a best-of-seven intrasquad scrimmage for players looking for opportunities to impress Coach Joel Barta.

Members of the Scorpion squad held a World Series draft October 25. Captains for the Navy Team were Walter Blume and Trey Garcia. Captains for the Orange Team were Scott Price and Jacob Yousif.

Julian Moya, a sophomore pitcher, was the first pick of the draft by the Navy team.

A rock-paper-scissors contest at the end determined the home team for the series.

The Scorpion World Series games will be played at 7 p.m. at Scorpion Field on the following dates:

• Game 1: Monday, October 29

• Game 2: Tuesday, October 30

• Game 3: Wednesday, October 31

• Game 4: Friday, November 2

• Game 5: Monday, November 5

• Game 6: Tuesday, November 6

• Game 7: Thursday, November 8
