Zack Moya, a 2007 graduate of Navarro High
School, has signed a Red River Athletic Conference Letter of Intent to play
baseball with the UTB/TSC Scorpions.
Moya, a 6-2 right-handed pitcher, had 88 strikeouts in 45 innings, posting an ERA of 1.37. He went 7-0 undefeated in District 29-AA, where he was all-district three years and was named to the San Antonio Express-News All-Area team two years. The Panthers advanced to the second round of the state playoffs in 2007.
At Navarro High School, Moya was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and basketball team. He plans to major in a pre-medical program.
"I liked the program and the campus is beautiful," Moya said. "I have a lot of relatives here in this area so it's going to feel like home."
