La Licuadora

Brownsville, TX – The Art Gallery in the Rusteberg Building is proud to present “La Licuadora” A collection of art produced by several artists that include: Jordan King, Lesley Renee Cowen, Abel Quintanilla, and Mary Rodriguez. Their work consists of mixed media, photography, painting, ceramic, and sculpture.

·         Opening reception, Monday, November 17^th, 2008, 6:30- 8:30 PM

·         Exhibition runs from November 17^th  to November 21^st, 2008

·         Admission: $1.00

Artists Statement:

A fusion of perspectives and attitudes produces the existence of “La Licuadora”, the experience of which can be as exhilarating as anything that is blended to acquire a unique taste.  Four artists with varying ideas and perspectives have compiled works that not only express their ideas as individuals but also exhibit the shared value of their senior experience.  The opportunity of these individuals to express themselves in solidarity, like many things in life, will be here for a moment and gone the next.  It is the temporal element that can best be shared by any appreciator of art.  This blend is only momentary but its flavor will linger on.
