The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board approved the renaming
of the College of General Studies to the College of Applied
Technology and General Studies. The previous move of the
BAT and BAAS programs into the College of General
Studies and the recent moves of Applied Business Technology
and Industrial Technology into the renamed College will further
facilitate the University's support of the legislature's philosophies
of seamless transition and closing the gap. These changes will
also facilitate the development of new career/technical programs
and the expansion of current certificates into AAS programs,
as well as create the potential for articulating applied bachelor's
degrees into applied graduate programs. |
